Metal Slug" is a series of action-packed side-scrolling shooting video games originally developed by SNK in 1996. The objective is to rescue captured allies and obliterate enemy forces. This 2D action game revolves around the eradication and destruction of hidden weapons. After the rebellion led by Marshal Morden, peace and order gradually returned to the world in the game's storyline. However, the fate of Marshal Morden remains unknown, and remnants of his army continue to hide in various locations across the globe. In response, Marco and Tarma of the Falcons continue their mission to eliminate any remaining threats. Simultaneously, the Sparrows, a special agency under the Regular Military Intelligence Department, launch an investigation into peculiar occurrences, including livestock abductions, the vanishing of important individuals, and the abnormal growth of living organisms. The intelligence department suspects a connection between these mysterious incidents and the remnants of Morden's army, leading to a joint operation between the Sparrows and the Falcons to uncover the truth.
