The A-1 Skyraider, initially introduced in 1946, was the U.S. Navy's last attack aircraft that was powered by a piston engine. It served on the frontline for thirty years, providing close-air support and escorting rescue helicopters during the Vietnam War until its final service. This kit accurately replicates the A-1H variant, which was the most produced model, capturing the aircraft's sturdy structure. The kit features engine cowl flaps, wing flaps, and dive brakes that can be displayed in open or closed positions. Additionally, parts are included for 250lb bombs and 5-inch rockets to portray a fully-armed aircraft. The kit comes with one pilot figure and three marking options.
